DESIGN THINKING TOOLS. THEY HELP BRING CROSS-DISCIPLINARY MINDS INTO THE DESIGN PROCESS.

HERE'S A

BUTTON TO

THE FILE.

THE TEMPLATE

GOAL:

-
Help inform priority of users to talk to.

The problem in a assumption.

The solution is a assumption.

The users are real, and we will go talk to them

WHEN & HOW TO USE:

-
During kick off meeting. With stakeholders and entire team. Have the team brainstorm,

pick their top 3, tape them up on the wall, and present. Then have the team dote-vote (3 dots each) on their favorites considering the goals that we have defined.

WHY:

-
This helps create alignment & focus on who we are targeting, what problems we think they have, and gives an opportunity for everyone to get their ideas out. Even though we don't care about the ideas yet because........

The solution lives in

the problem.

STEPS:

-
Every product has many ppl that will benefit from it. Who is the person that will benefit from this tool? What is their problem and our proposed solution – 1 persona can have many problems.

TIP:

-
Be specific with the persona name. Moms is too broad. "Overworked single moms living in the city" is better
